Matt Edwards has been pastoring on the Kitsap Peninsula for almost 20 years. In 2016, he received his DMin from Portland Seminary, having studied Semiotics under Dr. Leonard Sweet. He wrote his dissertation on intergenerational churches. Matt also received a ThM from Dallas Theological Seminary in 2005, where he studied New Testament Theology. He got his BA from Cedarville University in 2000, having studied Missions. In addition to pastoring, Matt has served as a Project Advisor for the DMin program at Portland Seminary. In 2023, he published his first book, Mustard Seeds and Viral Videos: Modern Retellings of the Parables of Jesus. Matt has been married to Brooke for 22 years. They have three kids. When he is not at church, he coaches baseball, runs, and reads. He is an avid fan of the Mariners and the Pittsburgh Steelers.
